 The official website of the Kijin Gentoushou (Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentoushou) television anime revealed additional cast, theme songs, and a key visual (pictured) for the anime's second cours on Tuesday. The anime series adapting Motoo Nakanishi's historical fantasy novels began airing on March 31 at 9:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by MBS, and BS Fuji.Cast Yasuhide Hatakeyama: Toshihiko Seki (Kill la Kill) Tsuchiura: Kenichirou Matsuda (Vinland Saga) Kiichi Okada: Kazuya Nakai (One Piece) J-rock band [Alexandros] (Ao Ashi, Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray) is performing the opening theme "Ash," and Japanese hip-hop group FAKE TYPE. (One Piece Film: Red theme song composition) is performing the ending theme "Enrin." Kazuya Aiura (Assassins Pride) is helming the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab. Deko Akao (Ragna Crimson) is handling the series composition, and Tarou Ikegami (Seiken Densetsu) is designing the characters. Ryuuichi Takada (MONACA) (Summertime Render), Keiichi Hirokawa (MONACA) (Shangri-La Frontier), and Kuniyuki Takahashi (MONACA) (Liar Liar) are composing the music. Nakanishi originally began penning the historical fantasy novel on the novel publishing website Arcadia from January 2013 to May 2016, followed by a continuation on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in September–October that year. Futabasha began publishing the novel with illustrations by Tamaki in June 2019. The 14th volume was published in November 2023. Monthly Action began serializing a manga adaptation by Yuu Satomi in September 2021. Futabasha released the eighth volume on March 19. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel and manga adaptation in February 2022. The ninth light novel volume went on sale on May 20, with the 10th volume scheduled for an August 19 release.
