A lot packed in first episode but I am not sure if more is better. I feel it might grow on me.

At first I thought they were trying to do things poorly on purpose as a stylistic choice, like trying to look like things were a rough draft, but in the end it just comes across as a mess with nothing to grab on to. Normally I'd give a show the standard 3 episode try, but I'm almost feeling insulted by how phoned in this is, so I'm dropping it right out the gate.

I have tried several devices all using the Disney Plus app but the stream quality is extremely low (the bitrate is incredibly low). Because of all the grain/noise added as post processing it's riddled with constant compression artifacts (these compression algorithms hate grain so they only update it parts of the frame which makes it look like a mess). Does anyone know if this show will eventually stream somewhere else or better yet release on DVD or Blu-Ray? Because it's unwatchable for me with these video compression artifacts.

that's actually good, the characters look drawing is so cool and the cars animation I think it's cgi but it isn't that bad

looks like the girl did a hoax on them and she wanted something else ( gods hymn )

I love sci-fi animes they are so goated tbh

1. The story and the lore are chaotic mess told with weird pacing.
2. The characters are annoyingly cliche and unlikeable.
3. The aesthetic is kitsch.
4. The music is kitsch.
5. Looks cobbled together from elements taken from other places: like the blond chick is practically Fujiko Mine, the cartoon looks like the one from Akudama Drive, the spiral city look like the one from Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos ect.
6. The 3D CGI is badly integrated into the 2D.

Like the whole thing is supposed to be one crazy and bombastic adventure without much sense, I get that, but it ends up to be a devoid of fun hotch-potch.
Drop.

By the way, what's with the 3½-inch floppy disks in anime this season? (The audio cassette make even less sense.)

They took a lot of inspiration from some high-octane 70's movies, mainly Vanishing Point and Bullitt (though in Bullitt the Charger was driven by the bad guys).

@Braelo Horrible music? The OST in this show is fantastic. The plot definitely keeps it's cards to itself in the beginning so yeah the first few episodes are boring but it really ramps up as the season progresses. Still though, I don't know how you could think them music is horrible.
