Yeah, Orhun's replacement is no good. The hero's party definitely needed him but that new girl is inexperienced.

Quite a different feeling of this episode and it followed Oliver's side and his party. He's the leader so he has to lead without Orhun around. I'm going to say it'll take time for Oliver's group to adapt.

No one knows how magic should work since there's no magic in our world, but the battle system in this anime is quite convincing.

I love the current trend of hero party (without the protagonist) comes to realized the mistake, don't know which anime begin this trend, and still don't know if this anime will follow this trend. I hope it does.

This episode didn't feature the MC, but the next one is going to be awesome. It's normal that they weren't paying attention to him, it's standard for anime of this genre. Let's see how the MC's fight with the dragon goes in the next episode.

The interesting part that, getting kicked out of the hero's party, and the hero doesn't want revenge for being weaker, but actually accepts his mistake. shocker, for real, shocker.

I just genuinely hate how they keep talking about orhun when they've banished him, like why am I still living rent free in y'all heads bruh.

You know, i'm actually impressed that they managed to run 92 floors back to the surface with the same pace. That's just inhuman.

Great episode, didnt like the CGI but oh well. The plot twist will be interesting to see, also hopefully the next fight is as good as it was in the manga.

I love this series but there was some regression in this episode. It was obvious that hero's party will learn a lesson but I didn't expect them to be total morons again (except healer girl). The pace was also objectively slow. And 50 times buff increase - it is too much and ruins all balance.

We might still get stuck with hero's party for a while but I hope it will start moving on from them. It's clear that Orhun with kids has more chances to conquer a dangeon than hero. I guess kids might actually beat teleported black dragon while getting to level 50.

Orhun should get the healer and join new party.

Orun, you have one thing to do in the next episode, don't rejoin those dumbass party. Let them clean up their own shit. If the dragon will kill those idiots, don't help them and let it do its job. The only one you should help is Luna.
tbh, Luna should leave this dumbass party as soon as possible. There are better places for her.

Honestly surprised they spent nearly an entire episode on these guys when all this could have been depicted in half. Well at least they seem to understand why they're so weak now, unlike some other shows with the same kick out member plotline.

As much of an attachment I have with this series, this episode was really just a massive info dump mixed with the glaze and anti-glaze of Orhun by the Hero Party. This was easy to get through when I was just reading the manga since one could just speedread it, but when it comes to watching it, this episode was just a slog to get through since you either gotta watch it at a fixed pace that bores you or skip/speed up some parts to get rid of the boredom.

Though, I guess this is one of the challenges in anime adaptations. I can't love or like it because of the sloggy experience, but I can't hate it either since the info dump was kinda necessary to prepare the audience for future story purposes, and there's really no other way to improve it without sacrificing the quality of the next episode.

At least we got everything out of the way, and I hope that what comes in the next episode is of higher quality to justify the experience we got with this one, since we would actually be finally seeing real action with minimal exposition dumping.

Sigh. So they're going with the trope of the antagonist hero party not only being wrong, but stupid and inexplicably incapable of understanding the basics of how their own abilities work. It's lazy writing for when you can't come up with a reason for them to kick out the MC: if you can't come up with something plausible, just make them unreasonably stupid and ask the viewers to accept it. Wasting all the party's money like children who stole daddy's credit card? Not understanding their own abilities' basic functions? Failing to hurt the mammoth yet STILL thinking they could take on the dragon which just 1-shot the mammoth right in front of them? They're not just dumb, they're so dumb it breaks immersion and hurts the plot.

I was pleasantly surprised when they had the healer explain to them, since usually this lasts for most of the entire season, but then they ruined it by having the Hero refuse to accept it even after having it explained. Disappointing.

9:20 and now the Hero Party is finally beginning to realize how important Orhun was and are now suffering 😁 as always

15:40 oh crap, where did that dragon just go?

That’s good Luna is the only one backing Orhun up on why he was essential to the party.

Oliver is in denial at the end 🤯

Man this was so slow and repetitive. There are 3 arrogant noobs in the party but they form the majority - we get it, ok? We already got it 3 episodes ago. Yada yada Japanese favorite pain point, corporate consensus mediocrity culture afflicting every group from school to work.

Let me guess, and now the awesome undervalued workhorse will have to solo the black dragon while protecting kids? Why am I even watching this endlessly recycled plot.

Although I liked this episode because seen them realize just how much Orhun was doing for the party was really cathartic and Oliver turning into an actual antagonist where before he was just someone with a misconception, like everyone else, about their abilities

Also, If Luna (The blue hair healer) doesn´t drop them after this, she is worse than the whole party combined. They might be @sshole, but she is ENABLING said @ssholes, the has no backbone, and it infuriates me to see her acting so calm while they bad mouth the one responsible for their success (and obviously, her love interest)

The new enchantress did nothing wrong, after we get this new detail about how buffs really affect people, it is obvious as to why she is having a hard time adapting to the party and it shows us just how much harder this dungeon is compared to the one in the West (or whichever was the one she previously conquer). This probably was the first time she ever saw a Dragon or something

Honestly the thing that might make me stop watching this show, to binge it later, is the way Luna will acts after the Dragon Incident

@UtakaSenpai not really (?), I mean at first he was actually accepting his mistake but by the end Oliver was starting to go the evil route of how to process the situation which, in my opinion, could lead to him to actually become an antagonist to Orhun and it would be entertaining to see, if done well

At first, it seems that they understood, but judging by the last sentence, nope, it appears that MC clearly overdid it with the support, and as a result, the three idiots still did not understand that the support was working constantly.

On the first 2 episodes this anime was walking a fine line between embracing or subverting all the worst tropes of this genre. At episode 3 they swung heavily into embracing side, I was about to drop this anime, but they still could salvage it, so I decided to give 1 more try and... in episode 4... it, basically spontaneously manifested and ignited rocket engines to hit head down to the trope embracing and sloppiness side so hard that they could have reached the cosmos if they went the other way.

To put it short, in this episode:
They used every single trope they could.
Went so hard to make the party unlikable that it translated to MC being an imbecile instead.
Never missed a chance to give unneeded exposition.
And lastly made everyone to look even stupider than before because evidently the only tactic you need in this dungeon is to just never shut up as every monster just patiently wait for you too finish talking even if it means that their attack takes 10 minutes of standing still to charge.

So with Orhun around, they can take on a black dragon and win. Without him around, they can not even hurt that Mammoth. A Mammoth which the black dragon casually killed by stomping on it. But yeah...

This series is on thin ice for me, I'll give it one more episode to wrap up this arc and move the story forward. If instead they continue the glacial pace of the last couple of episodes, I'm out.

Shame, 'cause episode 1 gave me a good first impression, but they've drug everything out since then.

Why can't some authors work with some more reasonable numbers? A buff skill multiplying your stats by 10x is already insane given they used to think the class was useless before Selma stepped up but putting MC at five times as strong as the best specialist is nuts, unless they say this super 50x buff works for only an instant

We don't need to spend THE ENTIRE EPISODE on them struggling with the replacement. At most, the argument at the inn(?)/them struggling in the dungeon should've been 5 minutes max. What is this pacing? I'd give this episode a 0/5 if that were possible.

Ahhh yes, you don’t need Orhun you just suddenly can’t do anything without him, can’t fight monsters or clear floors, your other members are suddenly weaker and your new replacement, Philly, can’t even maintain her composures in fights! Great choice, fucking idiot. Luna is the only one here with a brain and of course the party leader won’t listen to her. I was so happy seeing that nasty bitch of a witch Amelie thrown around like a ragdoll after how much shit she talked about Orhun

As if the stupid party leader weren’t enough, this entire series has apparently taken place over the course of THREE DAYS?? The pacing in this is so slow they need to pick it up. Feels like nothing has happened.

@pansz this slop genre is written in stone. The dragon will attack the MC group, MC will all but solo the dragon to protect the kids.

I gave this series a chance, but 4 eps in it's following the same plot every Kicked from Heroe's Party that came before.

This entire series feels like AI written slop meant to fill air slots.

Nahhh this episode was so ASS.

There is one combined braincell within the hero's party with the exception of Luna. They are barely even characters, just plot devices to make the MC look good.
And like how tf do they not know all this?? Have they never talked to Orhun before?? Like, you cant convince me that this party made it all the way to floor 94. My freaking clash of clans clan has more chemistry and rapport than these clowns. And ive never even met them in person before.

And also the fact that Orhun just casually uses these secretly revolutionary techniques. Like what does this have anything to do with him being a jack of all trades??? Might as well call this show 'I got kicked of the heroes party for being a weak enchanter but i was secretly the strongest enchanter' or some shit

And thats not even touching on the pacing and production quality. I havent watched a show that has made me actually hate the plot istg.

The hero party is sure inept and reckless. They did a bunch of dumb stuff, but not realizing that the black dragon was too much for them at that time is ridiculous. So what if they have killed it once? Oliver should have realized things were not good and retreated.

The problem was Oliver was too focused on proving to everyone (and probably to himself too) that they could do it without Orhun. I wouldn't be surprised if later in the story, Oliver admits (or we see his memories) he was getting jealous of Orhun because he was always doing good and Luna only had eyes for Orhun and not him.

Let's see if Luna will leave the party. She has to be stupid if she decides to stay with such reckless morons.

@PettankoLover
how tf that bitch made it to 100th floor

In another dungeon, with a different group. It doesn't mean the danger was the same as this dungeon.

@Marinate1016
Wait Philly kinda bad wait I’m interested again lol

The problem is not her, but the hero party, being too used to working with Orhun. Not only his buffs are powerful (as explained in this episode), but Selma said in episode 2 that he could cast his buffs 4 times faster than her (and she is considered the best supporter) and he knew exactly how long his buffs would stay on each of them.

Orhun also directed the whole fight, telling when to attack or defend. The party was too dependent on Orhun's abilities and the idiots decided to go fight against enemies stronger than they, so of course she would be overwhelmed and struggle to do anything.

It's clear he is a top-notch supporter, while Philly is not.

@UtakaSenpai
You know, i'm actually impressed that they managed to run 92 floors back to the surface with the same pace. That's just inhuman.

Of course, they didn't do that. There is a teleport crystal on each floor. The first episode already shows that.

@ClashMasterJH
And also the fact that Orhun just casually uses these secretly revolutionary techniques. Like what does this have anything to do with him being a jack of all trades??? Might as well call this show 'I got kicked of the heroes party for being a weak enchanter but i was secretly the strongest enchanter' or some shit

It's not that strange that Orhun have created stronger spells than what others are using. Remember that they said Selma was the one who showed how good an enchanter could be, and all the parties changed because of her. So enchanters were not a hot thing before of her, which means the spells they use probably still have a lot of space to grow further.

Orhun was not as good as other enchanters (for whatever reason that may be) so he worked hard to create his own spells to close that gap. Sure, 50x times is crazy, but let's see if the story will explain why his spell is so strong.

I don't understand the "jack of all trades" stuff. He can use a sword and enchant...is that a jack of all trades? That mage sure is stupid. lol

It was a different dungeon, so overall probably easier. Plus her other party was probably a lot stronger individually than this party. Orhun babied this group but in a better party a support would only need to cast a few enhancements and then the party would be mostly self sufficient

Wait what? For a second there I thought we were gonna get a twist in the fact the original party actually realise their faults and why they needed the person they kicked out but he just did a 180 right at the end there. Well he apparently did realise they needed him but still said he didnt want him in the party. Which is weird cause unlike most other hero party leaders who are assholes this guy has actually been quite level headed and decent until now.

That healer is so refreshing to listen to. Love the way she looks down on them like the idiots they are.

I was so expecting the new enchanter to be some sort of demon spy that was gonna destroy the party but nah. She was just a mid enchanter.

I guess any tarded author can get their banished hero slop into an anime nowadays. This is some Yakuza level black market deal type shit to make something so fucking awful be wasted on this show lol.

Literally the sloppiest of slop dumb heroes who are actually useless without their "useless" MC. They will be in denial for half a season, then pull the "please cum back to our party senpai", and the Chad useless MC who can do everything because yes will be like "nah fam, got me in my party like some 2 barely legal girls and a cute blond boy 😘".

This is what happens when you drink raw milk from a dead cow.

The explanation of the heroes' weakness seems to be wildly inconsistent with the story prior to this episode. If Ohrun's buffs were that vastly superior due to his original magic, on what basis was he deemed less than any random replacement?

Going back to episode 1 for the explanation, they very clearly tell him his buffs are weaker, and he fails to inform them that his original magic buffs exceed the standard ones by an order of magnitude above the best of the best, something that Luna can clearly explain in episode 4.

I had a lot of hope for this one but this is just bad writing, and it's hard to mentally hand-wave it given that it's the very premise of the story, that he was supposed to be weaker than the best as an enchanter but could combine those skills with swordsmanship to create a uniquely powerful style.

It's not often you get smacked in the face with a logical inconsistency this vital to the story.
