Synopsis

Love is not simple. It is complicated, frustrating, often incomprehensible—and it is something that many high school students are all too familiar with. Love takes on countless forms, but it is an emotion common to different kinds of people: childhood friends, tsunderes, classmates, delinquents, and student council presidents. Love can also flourish between unlikely pairs who bury their feelings deep within them, making it harder and harder to say that one notorious phrase in the human language... "I love you."

Tsurezure Children follows the journeys of numerous different couples and their romantic escapades. From the butterflies of a confession to the failed attempts at a first kiss, this story sheds light on the challenges and triumphs of young love.

Background

Tsurezure Children is a web manga released on the author's personal website from October 1, 2012 to February 14, 2017. The series has been published as doujinshi from December 31, 2012 to May 5, 2014, when the first volume was released at Comic Market 92. Official serialization started in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine on August 9, 2014.

The series was published digitally in English as Tsuredure Children by Kodansha Comics USA from April 25, 2017 to March 12, 2019.

hands down one of the best rom-com manga ever (mostly comedy), i spent most of the manga laughing at the akwardness and shenanigans of the character just to end up crying with the final 30 chapters, the artstyle is very simple and the character desing very basic so sometimes the guys might get mixed up, but it isnt a problem for most of the manga since most chapters just focus on 2 characters, speaking of characters there's a lot with different personality tropes so its almost certain that you will find at least 1 character that you like, i ended up loving all of them ...

Tsurezure Children follows the ordinary lives of several high school couples (or perhaps-soon-to-be) and their daily grapples with love.

You'd be forgiven for thinking the characters are archetypal: you've got the couple that are goofy and unable to properly convey their feelings to one another; a delinquent girl and the studious student council president; a stoic sportsman and a needy, overtly affectionate girl... the list goes on. The cookie-cutter characters would perhaps be a detractor if there weren't so many to keep things interesting - which they do.

I can't believe this manga is as highly regarded as it is on here.

This manga was nearly the same for its whole 212.2 chapter run.

The story for each and every single pair is almost always about misunderstanding, being embarrased to reveal their own feelings and doubting themselves. That's it, nothing else. All of these issues could have been solved in around a dozen chapters at the most, but apparenlty people stop talking to each other literally the moment someone else interrupts them (which happens all the goddamn time in this manga).
