Hi, you may know me as Anduré Shuraragi, Craftedbot or one of my (many) other dumb internet names.
<Oi eu sou o Pestana/Anduré Shuraragi e eu escrevo as coisas no meu perfil em ingles por motivo nenhum, desculpa, o site é primariamente em inglês e eu achei adequado> As you can see below, I occasionally get an urge to write big walls of text on the internet, but please don't mind it. I don't treat my account as a blog by any means but I enjoy writing things down. I don't, however, have much drive to write full actual reviews on this site because most of them are the cringiest, most pretentious shit I've ever read and I don't want to participate in that shitshow. Even though there is so much text here, I barely actually use this website or this account apart from just updating and tracking my list. I don't expect anyone to read or care about all this stuff I've written below about the details of how I use my account, but it's good for myself in case I ever forget (and I do often forget):
As I said above, I'm writing this out mostly for myself so I can keep my ratings somewhat consistent, and I don't expect anyone to actually read it. I can talk a lot about anime or manga that I like (or even dislike) but trying to express my opinions on them into a single number is honestly a bit dumb and will always be inherently inconsistent. I'm writing it thinking about anime but the same rules apply to the manga scores (or movies, OVAs, etc). When rating shows I usually compare them to other similar ones, which usually means shows of the same genre and of about the same lenght in episodes. So a 9/10 score on a 12-episode comedy/SoL series does not imply the exact same thing as a 9/10 on a 150-episode shonen battle series. Genre and lenght bring different expectations to the table and I need to judge them based on those expectations. So every score is somewhat relative. I also try to give scores somewhat independent of my personal preferences of the anime, as dumb and impossible as that may seem. In other words, a show doesn't need to be a 10/10 to be one of my personal favorites (I don't need an anime to be perfect in other to love it: I can love it while still recognizing it's flaws and recognizing that it may just have a strong personal appeal to me), and a 10/10 show won't necessarily be one of my favorites (I don't need to personally love or have an attachment to an anime in order to recognize it's very good). But it goes without saying that it's only natural that I would give high scores to series I like, and like series to which I give high scores. After all, every review or score given by a human being is based on a mix of objective and subjective reasons specific to each person. You can't really separate the review from the reviewer, in my opinion. I avoid scores with decimal places like 6.3, and even ones that are "and a half" like 7.5. I'm giving scores from 1 to 10, not from 1 to 100 or 1 to 20. If I feel a show is a 7.5/10 I will round it up to 8 or down to 7, and usually include a note saying when this happened and why I rounded it up or down. Everyone is a critic, but I'm not a professional one, I'm just a guy that watches japanese cartoons and likes to write occasional huge ranting paragraphs on the web. I don't watch anime for the sake of reviewing it on the internet, so I don't go out of my way to watch anime that I don't even think I'll enjoy, neither do I keep watching anime that I don't enjoy just so I can have a well-based opinion of it. Because of this there are few entries that are scored 4 or lower, and even fewer of those are shows that I actually finished watching. This makes the scoring even more inconsistent for scores below 5. With all of that said, here is the "what I mean" for when I give each of these scores to an anime or manga:
I wanted to have a digital list of my whole manga collection and this seemed like a good place to put it instead of making a spreadsheet. This is a plain list and I will not include any reviews or comments on any of the manga, but it's reasonable to assume that I like any manga that I actually spend money on, or at the very least I like their anime adaptations. I'm Brazilian and all manga I own and buy are the Brazilian [PT-BR] versions. Format: > Title(s) [Publisher] - # of volumes owned / total # of vol. (# of vol. already published in Brazil / total # of vol. in Japan)* *parentheses section only if the manga is either: still publishing; or complete but still being published in Brazil. TBP = "To Be Published", i.e. available for pre-order; TBD = "To Be Delivered", i.e. I already bought it but haven't received it yet Series 100% collected also get a cute checkmark at the end: ✓. List in alphabetical order I guess. List updated as of 10/09/2023 (dd/mm/yyyy)
I plan to continue collecting the incomplete/publishing series above but I don't have any new manga that I wish to start collecting in the near future. Manga I would like to collect one day but I'm not promising anything to myself:
