I just rambled my own frustration about the Violet Evergarden Final Movie, that's all :)😅 The series is great 10/10.
I took a look at your PTW list, it's kinda true that you have some absolute gems in your list that are yet to be watched, like - 1. Steins;Gate, 2. Monster, 3. Kaguya-sama love is war, 4. Haikyuu!! 2nd, 3rd season, 5. 86, 6. Grand Blue Dreaming, 7. Summer Time Rendering, 8. Psycho-Pass, 9. Terror in Resonance, 10. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, 10. Look Back, 11. Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, 12. I Want To Eat Your Pancreas (my preferred ones which I think you'll definitely like based on your watch list, lower the number higher the preference). Also, I want to point out the fact is anime is more popular now than ever, so everyone is watching it now, as a result every mid-show releasing seasonally getting the word of mouth and nobody talking about old but marginally good old shows that definitely one should watch before those. So don't get overwhelmed in the all the recent shows, I can assure that the old ones are worth the time. Sorry (^_^)/, but I'm being frank here, you'll definitely thank me later after watching 1,2 & 3 (^—^).
Also having a hectic schedule is very common, if you didn't, that would be strange. Recently, I had a hectic schedule, trying to squeeze in time to watch anime because of college. Even when classes were over, I used to spend a lot of time with my friends, which is common in Indian Engineering college hostels. That's why I used to binge the episodes all at once on weekend nights without any sleep. Now I'm a bit free because my college course is over, and I have a few months in hand until I join my company.
About my top 3, funny you asked it, I used to love One Piece, never in my wildest dreams I would've thought that anything could topple it, but it just lost it's #1 as my top 3 fav anime. I was watching Gintama': Enchousen (Season 3). It was so PEAK that I literally made it to my #1 favorite. How could this even exist!!! Gintama is great not because of a crazy plot twist or story (the story is great btw), for me Gintama is the closest thing to my heart among all the things I've ever seen. It touched my soul, maybe it's sound like cliché words, but it's not. Looks like I'm blabbing too much :)) Take care bye. ✌️
I absolutely like your top 3, I don't need to explain AoT.
Fruits Basket, I think, is the best romance anime to this day. Some shows may come close, but Fruits Basket is just better, I think, and S3 is the best wrap-up to that.
Violet Evergarden made me feel the value of day-to-day life and just being alive. Violet's recognition of the value of life is pure emotion. But one thing I absolutely didn't like and kind of hated is the events of the final movie. Look, we're all happy with a happy ending; Violet deserves it too. She learned the value of life, and she would be okay without the person she loves most. By tying everything up with a conventional reunion, the film cheapens her journey. Yes, she retains her realization and inner growth, but the story’s message—that she could find peace alone—loses its impact. It undermines her hard-won progress in a way that I can’t accept.
Also, it's a very common recommendation, but please watch Steins;Gate. It's way out there on the top list in MAL. Judging by your list I can guarantee that you'll love it. Who knows, it may be your newest addition to the top 10.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts—and swapping anime recs soon! 🎉

Oh yeah I can relate to that feeling lol. Even I sometimes get attached to certain series. Waiting weekly/monthly or even many months for a new chapter is hella tiring and the suspense level just goes crazy at the same time cause you desperately want to know what's gonna happen next and in which direction is the author going to proceed with the story. Though a positive about it is the satisfaction after it finally comes out and if you liked it, then it feels like it was definitely worth the wait and that it paid off.
Yeah absolutely agreed. Nothing can match that feeling and atmosphere of watching a series in the cinema. On top of that, with super amplified speakers and such a big ass screen lol. Plus just like you said, it will help in increasing the popularity globally and would be useful in advertising/promoting as well. More westerners will be able to get into this medium and enjoy it to its fullest.
Yeah I am also an anime only for DS atm, though I know Ufotable is a crazy good studio. Their animation and visuals till this day are almost unmatched. So yeah DS is in good hands and we can only expect more greatness coming towards our way lol. I still remember I was about to tear up in episode 19 (that hinokami kagura dance one or more like the Tanjiro vs Ryu one) cause they had elevated the manga material and they had made it hella emotional. Ntm the ost used in the bg synced with it so perfectly. And then obviously, Ufotable's godly animation and cinematography.
Yeah its completely fine. Everyone can have their own criterias and preferences while starting a new anime. Btw, who are some of your fav seiyuus??
Oh wait never mind, I just checked you favs list and yeah that's a great line up of seiyuus you have there. Sawashiro Miyuki went nuts with Daki's character. I absolutely loved her performance. Then obviously Eren's va, Tanjiro's va, Levi's va, Megumi's va, Inumaki's va, Sukuna and Gojo's va as well. Yup its a stacked list and you have great taste even when it comes to voice actors lmao :)
Lmao no, it's not a bad thing by any means. Just because all of these are mainstream shows, it doesn't mean that one needs to watch them. Its completely upto you. Whichever show vibes with you or hits for you, just go with it lmao. Feel free to drop those, which don't interest you one bit. This is a just sort of a misconception which is there in the community that one needs to watch these popular battle shounen series to be only considered to have truly consumed anime. Even some of my irl friends dropped the big 3 or any shounen in general, beacuse they are more into slice of life (SOL) or comedy or thriller etc.
Yeah even I am very lazy lol. I even frequently experience burnouts from anime and manga so I usually take a break and just shift my attention to live action shows or just console games lol. Procastination is real afterall lmao.
No problem, your welcome!! 😇😇😎😎
I think it's gonna come out in my country but I don't believe that it's gonna come out any soon lmao. Same had happened with Mugen Train and JJK zero as well. Both of them were released after a very long time and my exams were going on at the time of release, so I had to watch them at home sadly 😭😭
Though this time, who knows I might get a chance to see it in theatres lol.
Yeah Tanjiro is a great mc. Love how he is always there for Nezuko and his partners in crime: Zenitsu and Inosuke. Excited to see more of him in the upcoming seasons. Ufotable are gonna nail the animation anyways lmao.
Yeah Naruto can feel boring midway just like Bleach and One Piece. That's the thing with these long running battle shounen series. They have like 1000s of episodes along with fillers/ovas and movie adaptations as well. So yeah it can be tiring to get through them 😭😭 Though I wouldn't suggest pushing yourself to get through something which you find boring as then you might not enjoy it that much, though that's just what I think lmao.
Yeah it does happens to me sometimes. That's why like I said earlier that I generally follow the 3 episode anime rule. I randomly pick up any anime after checking it's demographics and tags and then try watching the first 3 episodes to decide whether I am gonna enjoy it or not. If it does interest me, then I continue else I drop it for the time being or just don't add it to my list.
I remember dropping Bleach (anime) twice due to the number of total episodes and boring fillers but later on I went back after some months and this time I was able to finish it lmao. I just skipped the fillers and only watched the canon part.
Yeah Berserk is great imo. Though there are a lot of uncomfortable rape and nudity scenes which might turn a reader off and might ruin the experience while reading so yeah that's the only major drawback about it. It kinda also becomes a bit boring in between but that's just me ig. The writing and art work is amazing tho. Guts is also a very hardworking and inspiring protagonist. His determination and will power is truly appreciable.
You can first try watching the 1997 anime version. Though it skips some parts from the manga, but you can still go for it to get an overall view about the series. If it interests you, then you can proceed with the manga afterwards. And feel free to ask me anytime 😇😎
I am personally looking forward to Demon Slayer, JJK , Solo level (same as you), Bleach (next cour), Oshi no Ko (heard a lot about it since it's the same guy who wrote Kaguya sama), Hell's Paradise (another MAPPA project), Mushoku Tensei S2, Konosuba S3, Tower of God S2, One Punch Man S3, Uzumaki (really liked the manga though it's creepy and weird af tho), Mashle, Insomniacs after school etc.
So yeah only these many atm. I will try checking out other seasonals, if they interest me. I generally follow the 3 episode anime rule anyways lmao 😂😂
Aah, it's fine. Everyone has their comfort shows and guilty pleasures as well. Even I have rewatched all of my fav series atleast 3 times lol.
Woah, six is a lot 😭😭 But I am also doing the same ig. I am just watching the seasonals airing currently. I just got over with my exams recently so I am not in the mood to start any new anime atm plus AoT is also returning on March 3rd, so my focus is on it only and I'm hyped af considering its one of my fav series.
In terms of manga, then I finally started Berserk after putting it on hold for almost 2 yrs. So yeah these are my plans atm.
So which anime are you looking forward to this year??
So what are you upto atm ??
Nice to meet you and you have great taste.
