Mixed Feelings
Poco’s Udon World is a calm, heartwarming slice-of-life anime that focuses more on emotions and personal growth than on an exciting or complex plot. The story follows Souta as he returns to his hometown and ends up caring for Poco. The pacing is slow and relaxed, which fits the comforting tone of the series. It’s less about big events and more about small, everyday moments, healing, and self-discovery.

However, one of the most annoying parts is how misleading the title feels. With “Udon” in the name, you’d expect food or the udon shop to be a major focus, but it barely comes up until the very last episode. Instead, the anime mainly centers on Souta’s struggles with adulthood, grief, and finding his place in life, with Poco helping him grow along the way. Even so, the show is still charming and easy to watch, especially if you just want something soft and comforting. I think if there were more episodes the ratings would be better (i gave it a 4 its not bad but its not you know all that). The opening and ending songs are especially memorable and honestly stand out more than some parts of the story, making the anime a decent casual watch despite its missed potential.
