Shows which have a poor (below ~7) audience rating while having mostly positive reviews. This generally suggests that there's some major element that turns away general audiences, while more "dedicated" viewers are able to enjoy the show despite superficial flaws.
Examples of causes of poor audience store:
- Animation style (3DCG, inferno cop)
- Niche topic (history, furries, etc.)
- Weird (weird)
I noticed a lot of "underrated" lists are just self-congratulatory nonsense, so I decided to make this.
There are so many of these on MAL that I couldn't possibly list them all on my own, so suggestions are appreciated.

Very simple AE/flash animation, but makes up for it with great voice acting and the scenes themselves are surprisingly animated. The story is also well-paced and does a great job at staying within its means while being fleshed out.

I personally disliked this one, I think (generally not a fan if mystery/detective stuff). However, the reviews for this are pretty good despite the score, so I'm including it.

This is my one free pick that everyone apparently hated. Honestly I thought it was a great execution of the premise. Sure, it's still generic isekai-slop but generic isekai-slop usually earns at least a 7.

I'm somewhat biased because I was a fan of the LN/manga, but I think the premise simply didn't appeal to broader audiences. Most viewers probably don't even know about the superficial similarities to roadside.
