| Asa is still young, and she has plenty of opportunties in life to be part of something. Makio's curiousity in literature was interesting. This anime continues to follow both character stories in different ways. |

| It was a bit clunky choice that sudden cutting off of Asa's favourite song at the end of the episode then starting at once the music of the ED. They should have just let Asa's song close this episode. Otherwise great episode as always. |

| Another absolutely masterfully crafted episode. Glad I was able to pick up the manga in Mandarake yesterday, but it’s so difficult to find the others!! I think I’m starting to see what caused the rift between Makio and Minori, likely their dad’s death. Given Makio’s dialogue about how her mom changed as well, it seems like the whole family just drifted apart at that point and every one fell victim to their grief. They all had different ways of coping. The mom just became distant and “snide” Makio started writing and Minori.. well she became an asshole. I love how complicated and multi faceted the characters in this story are though because we see Minori seemingly regretting how she treated Makio and wanting to encourage Asa to pursue her dreams, but at the same time whenever Asa started doing that, she criticised her. It’s like she wanted her to make her own choices, but only choices she agreed with That “you look like a boy” really hurt me because people don’t know the impact they have on kids man, Asa is already so vulnerable and impressionable and for a mom to say that is just so lame. Thank God Emiri was there to support Asa and the way she was so into the new haircut was so cute! “You know I’m more into the girls?” Yes, we all know emiri, you’re gay. “I just felt so confused” man fuck, this author has perfectly portrayed how difficult it is to be and to raise a teenager going thru depression and dealing with the loss of a parent. Asa’s voice cracking there hurt so bad, thank GOD we got a good ending with a little hint at Asa’s future parents?? I need that ship to sail so bad. Makio looks sooo happy with her ex and it’s like he’s the one person who truly gets her. |

| I actually really liked this episode and thought it was an interesting take on how kids develop. Asa’s mother constantly made decisions for her, but the moment she finally gave Asa the freedom to make her own choice, she immediately criticized it. That criticism made Asa grow to hate the choice, just like what happened with her hair cut. Asa was raised with the mindset that the adults around her would always make decisions for her, so when Asa asked her aunt for an answer in this different environment it left her confused and unsure of herself. 5/5 episode ^_^ |

| Asa's trauma is so deep that every little thing in her life is affected because of it. Living with Makio is definitely giving her new perspective of life. Also Makio and Kasamachi looks so good together. Just like Asa I was also surprise by it. |

| I love all of the adults in her life now. The family lawyer seems very passionate on making sure the children he takes care of are being treated right and not being taken advantage of for their money. I’ve certainly heard stories about caregivers taking money for themselves out of their wards bank account. Asa’s relationship with her mother seemed difficult. Like Kasamachi said before, raising a kid and loving them, are two different things. Her mom seemed like she was hot and cold with Asa making her own decisions. Also, I think Makio’s and Kasamachi’s relationship with each other will be a nice normalcy for Asa. It seems like her parents weren’t close with each other at all, or at least weren’t affectionate in front of Asa, and Makio’s close relationship with her ex(?) will show the upsides to having a romantic connection. Personally, my parents almost always fought and yelled at each other in front of us kids. That’s why I have a hard time seeing myself married because I don’t want to live like they do. That smirk Kasamachi made when Makio said she picked up on one of his habits!! Definitely feels like he still loves her romantically. It’s been 5-6 years(?) since they broke up? That’s definitely long enough for personal growth for both of them and if they want to get back together…. I wouldn’t mind. |

| I think that Asa's mother loved her very much and wanted to raise her with love. However, in reality raising children is more difficult, and you have to set boundaries, question your children's decisions or indecisiveness, and even strongly criticize them. "Be whoever you want to be" My assumption based on this statement from the mother is that she reacted quite differently (fitting to her more conservative character) to her own sister and regretted their growing apart over time, which is why she behaves differently towards Asa. That's why these contradictions arise, but they are still driven by love. |

I mean he says in an earlier episode that their feelings for each other could change, in the sense that they might become a couple again in the future, at least that's how I took it. So I would think he still sees her as a potential partner at least. And that scene today definitely made me feel like they might get back together again, although of course we don't really know exactly what drove them apart the first time so them being together like that probably doesn't mean that much. |

His face when he saw a man (the lawyer) leaving their apartment + later getting closer to Makio to comfort her. Kasamachi 100% wants to date her again. It's whether or not Makio wants to that's the deciding factor here, I think, and he seems well aware of that. She's incredibly comfortable with their current relationship, so that doesn't work well for him as she may not want to question if she wants to change how they are currently. |

| Asa's mom was really contradicting herself a lot of times even though she wanted Asa to make her own decisions. We saw a glimpse of the accident that took Asa's parents' lives and it really came to Asa's mind at an unexpected moment 💔 We now know why Makio avoids talking anything about her sister to Asa. She doesn't want Asa to remember her mom as someone bad 'cause of her. Makio really left her mom with some kind words in the end while leaving. Emiri only want a girlfriend not boyfriend.. take a clue already Asa. Asa still worrying over what her mom would tell when she's no longer here and thinking that Makio would be the same and not let her join the band even when she told her to do what she likes.. that's sad. The attorney and Makio had a weird chemistry going on between them until Kasamachi interrupted lol Kasamachi putting his arms over Makio.. ah, so sweet. |

| The laptop Asa got for herself without informing her guardian was worth way more than what I've used for years lol. She got off lightly with that decision in my opinion for the price paid. But glad that she was at least honest enough by the end to ask Makio about her desire to join the band club with the latter letting her truly do whatever she wants. Her mother would say similar stuff but with the hair coloring rejection and outfits she wanted her to wear, the freedom her mother promised felt a bit like illusion and it made Asa a bit dependent on her opinions. The fact she died left Asa obviously in an abandoned state on top of that made her a bit broken understandably. It does hurt waiting and expecting a no when the illusion of her promising her to be herself was there. Makio giving that can help. The topic of boundaries was fascinating and always everchanging in the context of raising someone to put them in a good position. Too less and you make them restricted, dependent. Too much and they potentially might go off the rails with life choices that you worry about. So this whole issue is more than what met the eye, and hopefully Makio is able to manage that a bit delicately over the coming years. Asa's friend is adapting well on the surface with a new circle in her class, wonder how Asa will do herself as she continues to adapt to her high school life. Also Kasamachi and Makio despite the previous breakup, still do work as friends and the chemistry shows here. That relationship element is interesting. Another episode I loved dwelling about while watching it. Asa's memories, her emotions and subtle development have really been a strength for this series. |

| Asa's memories and emotions are so well explored. The edition makes it so compelling and also surprising, shocking (like when she thought in the accident of her parents). Also it seems that the trauma Makio and Minori inherited from their mother was carried in some aspects to their relations in life. It's also funny see how similar was teen Makio to Asa now. I guess that Emiri is growing apart of Asa -it's natural, few friends of the high school survives to adulthood. Makio is lucky in that aspect. I know it's quite centered in Minori's part of Asa's family, but what about Asa's dad and family? No uncle or granny out there? I kind of root for the MakiMachi (??) couple, why not? They seems okay, but we don't know why they got apart first... |

| GOD I love this show so much. Interactions are so genuine! Some even hit close to home. Like mom wanting you to be independent but at the same time making decisions for you. Damn, so Asa witnessed the death of her parents... Awful... I'm telling you all, Makio will cry for her sister at the end. It has to happen. And it'll totally destroy me! Flashback to when the sisters were young was so painful for me. I wouldn't want anyone to experience tragically losing a sibling. Please cherish your family. None of us knows when our last day may come. As for Makio, she has to forgive her sister for whatever must've hurt her. She's not really letting her go, clinging to whatever grudge instead. It has to end. |

| ANIME OF THE SEASON. SO MANY EMOTIONS THIS EPISODE. I cried, I laughed, I got angry, I was confused, I smiled. KAKETE KURU, KAKETE KURU, ASA GA KURU. 10/10. As the episodes progress, I'm getting more and more curious about Minori (Asa's mom). I'm sure that one day Asa will make Makio realize that Minori isn't as bad as Makio thinks she is. When that day comes, I'll cry my eyes out. Asa is afraid that adults will forbid her from doing what she wants to do. That's realistic, but I don't think Minori and Makio will have a problem with that. Asa, do what you want to do, we will all support you completely. KAWAIIIIIII MAKIO AND KASAMACHI THEIR RELATIONSHIP IN THIS EPISODE IS SO ADORABLE. It's amazing that their relationship can be this close even after they broke up. | Man, what an episode—yet another banger indeed. Honestly, I never really liked Emiri, and I’m starting to think she and Asa might drift apart since she’s hanging out with the popular kids now, plus they’re in different classes. That bit about Asa buying the MacBook was super relatable. I did some crazy stuff back in middle school without my parents knowing (and yeah, it was wild...a lot of it, lmao) and I got busted big time. I totally get the feeling of wanting something badly but being scared your parents will say no and get mad. I really hope Makio and Kasamachi get back together eventually.
