The Crunchyroll Industry Panel at Anime Expo 2025 announced a second season of Black Clover on Saturday, revealing a "kick off" visual (pictured) and an announcement promo.

Produced by Pierrot, the first anime season adapting Yuuki Tabata's fantasy action manga premiered in Fall 2017, airing in 170 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with subtitles and later with an English dub.

The Black Clover: Mahou Tei no Ken (Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King) anime movie opened in Japan in June 2023.

Tabata began serializing the manga in Weekly Shounen Jump in February 2015, after publishing a one-shot in Shounen Jump NEXT! in May 2014. The manga transferred to Jump GIGA magazine in December 2023. Shueisha published the 36th volume in February 2024.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in June 2016 and released the 36th volume on January 7.

If Pierrot can do what they did with Bleach here as well, that'll just make the content supposed to come even more epic.

I don't feel this is coming before Bleach final cour, so yeah wonder if we'd even have the manga going by then.

I would love for this to get the Bleach treatment but I have a feeling it'll be a long runner like the 1st season.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

Take me back to the days before MAL became infested with Twitter's favorite buzzwords.

Is there any information if it's going to be standard anime season lenght (12-24 ep) or if they're gonna do a huge weekly dump like last "season", because it just seems weird to have season 2 after 170 episodes, instead of just having it start on episode 171

@Ambeon It's not unheard of. I mean, Bleach was over 200 episodes, and after that they still a more standard anime length for future seasons.

I actually just finished reading the manga for the parts in the anime, since I think the animation and art are awful thanks to studio pierrot as usual.
If this and boruto get the bleach treatment it would be very cool, so I'll just wait for a trailer and see if I'll continue the manga on the spade kingdom arc or just go for this new anime.

please dont follow the trend of releasing 12 episodes like other animes that sucks I really loved how they released 170 episode weeks by weeks ...
I loved the pace it had and the story in it too .. so you dont have to make it shorter anime season make it big no matter what at least 70 + episodes with the same passion for intro and outro changing in every arc I loved that soo much that was refreshing while watching anime .. usually I skip intros of anime but intros and outros of black clover not a chance ...
thank you much Yuki Tabata for this amazing anime series and manga .

@Ambeon I really hope that's not the case because that what distinguish this anime a lot from regular anime which likes to delay there seasons till we have children of our own I hate that ...

I wish they break this unwanted standard norm releasing 12 or 24 episodes and finish it in at once in for all ...

they literally catched up to manga when they where releasing episodes 165 - 170 remember , that's what I want to see catch up to your finished work ...
