@animefanftw123 I don't know what happened but could have also been a delay by one season just for a bit more time. I have no idea, but I think it works out better given what all is there to cover this time around.

Both are not counted as part of episode count thus are pretty much the same thing.

S2 had 24 episodes + episode 0.

That wasn’t really a leak. It was info from an official financial report that listed Mushoku S3 planned for spring season. Well the info was from last year so I guess they were unable to make it for spring season as originally planned.

Leaks are information that came from unofficial sources. Though there was no official announcement, it was still information from official document that actually listed spring 2026. They just couldn’t make their originally planned schedule.

So excited, this is gonna be the absolute peak of the series, volume 15 animated is like my reason to live. It would've been interesting to have the two big isekais at war in the same season, but this part needs the most care so if the longer wait can translate to quality I'm all for it.

They had kept this event Abema TV exclusive. Man did I want to watch this live.

Anyways, happy that we finally got a confirmation on release period.

Not sure what the big debate about some leaks is happening above. I havent heard any reliable leaker claiming on its release window so far.

Hopefully we dont see the same situation as Season 2 Part 1, where the team was in total chaos due to Studio Bind's other obligations leading to mismanagement of the project....

Abema does work with a simple VPN btw, I would suggest using Chrome instead of brave/edge because those glitch a lot

That official document belonged to Toho which is part of the production committee. Toho is also the one that released the first PV that said it was coming in 2026. They didn’t say which month because it was still almost a year away from the planned release date. Normally production committee would have already decided the exact month of release a year prior but they wouldn’t announced it until it’s 6 months or less away since there’s always possibility of production problems that cause delay. The production committee failed to make it release in April as they originally planned and so it got delayed to July.

So stop treating it like a leak that came from one of those usual leakers. It’s also stupid that you only quote part of my posts and left out other sentences just to justify your argument.

The only combination that works for me is Chrome latest update and VPN of japan (surfshark specifically if that matters)

You’re the only one here calling the source a leaker. It’s ridiculous you’re still calling it info from a usual leaker when the original source was official document from one of the production committee that many people saw themselves. I don’t want to waste my time arguing about this anymore especially when someone else already pointed out about this to you before.

On another note, the financial report released in July 2025 said the new season was originally scheduled for April 2026 but another report released in October 2025 only said it was scheduled for 2026. So looks like they were aiming for April 2026 release at first but sometime later they were no longer confident they would make the date. Those who already saw the report already suspected there would be delay.

@karrotStick S2 was good overall. It certainly had significant issues though, especially part 1. Which hurt it and made it worse than it should have been.

But there was enough to still carry. (like backgrounds artist guy) With the quality of the writing. Was still great, overall.

Certainly hope s3 doesn't have the same issues. Particularly with character design (and bad art at times), Rudeus especially. Dunno how the MC was the worst and most inconsistently drawn character in the anime. But had issues with character proportions in general.

Comparing to S1, even more so. Where characters look like actual adults and more mature (e.g. Paul, Lilia, say in ep.23 where they reunite). S2, even part 2, Paul looks younger than s1(heck, even early s1 eps). It's proportions, mostly. Aside, every time they had zoomed out shots where you see the entire character (especially in s1 school part), they were all so skinny and with bad proportions. (and straight up bad art, at times, but mostly Rudeus)

Pretty sure most of those "in-between" parts were out sourced to a certain studio, and apparently that's how they do it.

Now, the higher effort parts, characters looked as they should, like ep.12 (mostly, there is stuff like part 2 ep 1, Rudeus the gym bro and smol Sylphie, sitting next to each other, have the same physique. If not Sylphie being bigger lol).

Just need better and more consistent character art, and a bit more polish. And it will be fine.

Other than that, there are some parts that will need some top tier work and animation work, to adapt well. So that will take a lot of effort, for it to be done justice. (directing will be most important though, as usual).

One more thing I hope to change from s2, but I know that ain't happening. So won't even start that lol
