what comes to your mind when u hear about an anime made from chinese novel?
probably some people would say , it won't be that good for sure.
but let me say ,theres no other anime out there with a mix of urban fantasy and dragons, its the one exceptional anime ,
i saw some reviews, this anime lacks that ....,lacks this......, wtf mate ,u r not gonna watch that anime only for those comments , u r not gonna watch just only for the reason , it has few fanbase. u have to try out everything in life, everyone has diffrent tastes , and u r one ... of them ,that makes u , so what i m tryng to say is , this anime is amazing, truly exceptional. the artstytle,animation,character design was done beautifully. theres a lot other famous anime out there with a huge fanbase but lacks naturality , but this anime voice acting is Emotionally raw and unnaturally natural. Characters feel alive, not like cardboard cutouts.

An excellent blend of mystical elements and the modern world with top-tier pacing. It has everything: mystery, thrill, romance all seamlessly woven into the story. Some criticize the MC for lacking confidence, but that’s what makes him human. He’s not your typical OP, aura-farming protagonist. He’s afraid, unsure but never lets down those who believe in him and stands up when it matters most.

I usually write long reviews, but not this time. Just go watch it. You won’t regret it.

I honestly wanted to end my review with the paragraph above, but MAL requires a longer review, so here’s a bit more. One of the biggest ... strengths of this anime is its well-rounded side characters, many of whom have enough personality and depth to be main characters in their own stories. The music is phenomenal, the animation quality is absolutely top-tier, and the character designs are memorable. It even nails the occasional light-hearted comic moments without disrupting the tone. The only downside? You might struggle a bit to find accurate subtitles. Also worth noting, another one already confirmed. So now's the perfect time to jump in.

But still... Our boy Lu Ming Fei still shit. He got zero motivation, zero confidence, zero ambition, zero skill. zero will to improve himself, zero self respect, and most importantly zero character development. So from season 1 episode 1 until now he still the pathetic guy he ever was and ever will be. He only survive because the plot want him to survive. The world seems like spinning around him. Another basic chosen one MC. Its making me angry like when he live in a world of magic and dragon, he didn't even train properly at least to defend himself. ... Yet he always on every important situation spacing out, getting scared, and in the end, using World of Warcraft cheat code.

The story is still confusing but not as much as season one. Maybe because its more focused on the redemption arc of chu zihang so its more easy to follow but its still bad. I don't get the feeling of chu zihang sadness and anger because of the bad writing. Its hard to explain but its like the moment when his father died heroic doesn't make me feel anything. Because there is lack of build ups and development.
