'Youjo Senki' Anime Film Announces New Cast Members

The official website of Youjo Senki (The Saga of Tanya the Evil) revealed new cast members and the first trailer for the sequel anime film on Tuesday. Produced by animation studio Nut, the film will open in theaters in Japan on February 8, 2019. Kadokawa Animation will handle the film's distribution.

Joseph Dzhugashvili: Takashi Inagaki (Berserk)
Loria: Cho (Juuni Taisen)
William Douglas Drake: Toshiyuki Morikawa (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Diamond wa Kudakenai)
Edgar: Jun Fukushima (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!)
Bibi: Mutsumi Tamura (Magi: The Kingdom of Magic)

Most of the production staff from the TV series will return for the film, with Mizuka Ueda (Darling in the Franxx) replacing Satoru Hirayanagi as the art director, and Fuminori Tsukida (Hisone to Maso-tan key animation) joining Ryouma Ebata as magic weapon designer. Musical unit MYTH & ROID will also return to perform the theme song.

Youjo Senki adapts Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki's military fantasy novel of the same title, which has been published under Kadokawa's Enterbrain imprint since October 2013. The tenth volume went on sale on September 29.

Looking good so far.

Loved the first season thanks to Aoi Yuki's excellent performance so really looking forward to seeing the film.

"Loria" took me a while to realize who is this character, I never thought of spelling it like that. Interestingly enough, there's no Erwin Rommel in the additional cast yet.
Who is BB though? I can't remember any character in YS going by that name.

The trailer was entertaining as hell.
