Manga 'Otaku ni Yasashii Gal wa Inai!?' Gets Anime in 2026

Production company ADK Emotions opened an official website for an anime adaptation of Norishiro-chan and Sakana Uozumi's Otaku ni Yasashii Gal wa Inai!? (Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!?) manga on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2026.

Norishiro-chan and Uozumi began serializing the school romcom manga in Comic Zenon magazine in August 2021. Coamix published the tenth volume on June 20, with the 11th volume scheduled to ship on October 20. The series has a cumulative 1 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Yen Press licensed the manga in English this April and plans to release the first volume on October 28.

Synopsis
Meet Takuya Seo, an otaku who sits behind the popular gals in class, Ijichi and Amane. Since they're people from different "castes," you wouldn't expect them to have much in common. But when their worlds collide over a borrowed eraser, Takuya slips up about his favorite anime, and Amane...is rather quick to correct him. She says she's not a fan, but her familiarity with the series suggests otherwise. Could she be...a fellow geek?! (Source: Yen Press)

I'm always happy for a new "Gal" anime (in particular romance focused). Will be curious how this turns out!

@Nachtwandler_21 interesting , not a big fan of polygamy i'll rather have a normal one to one romcom instead but for this manga it's the best ending we can ask for , much better than leaving the other girl alone
