Publishing company Takarajimasha opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Antai's Megami "Isekai Tensei Nani ni Naritai desu ka" Ore "Yuusha no Rokkotsu de" light novel on Tuesday, revealing the cast, staff, and an image visual (pictured). The anime series will begin airing in April 2026.

Antai began penning the action fantasy series on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in November 2017. Takarajimasha began publishing the light novel with illustrations by Mebaru in January 2021.

Introduction
The protagonist of the tale, simply referred to as "I," experiences an endless cycle of reincarnation. The narrative takes place in a different universe where people are free to select their next form. However, the waiting list for popular roles, like "Demon King" or "Hero with Cheat Skills and a Harem," has reached 50,000 years due to a recent spike in applications.

The protagonist decides to repeatedly reincarnate into increasingly strange forms because he refuses to wait. These roles include the rib of a hero in charge of a harem, a hermit crab, a vegetable, and even an explosive used to blow up blissfully happy couples.

It was announced that Cookie! will join Isekai Tensei Nanininaritaidesuka as a creator. The series will combine multiple formats, including stop-motion animation, puppetry, and live-action segments.

You know, at this point, if someone wants to get rich fast with minimal effort, I think becoming a copy-cat Isekai novel writer in Japan wouldn't be a bad idea...

I think that's maybe a factor in like early years
By the time that the first Narou series to get anime adaptations (Log Horizon and Mahouka not too long after) , fanfics based on existing IPs including Zero were removed a bit before that
The site still does function like fanfiction dot net since anyone can submit a story and then later it getting easily adapted into LNs,Manga and later anime

Wanna know where the isekai boom came from?
It all started from here which is really just Japanese fanfiction dot net with the low barrier to entry aka anyone can submit a story (and hope you realize that maybe a bad thing when them getting adapted by the dozen nowadays)

because society's balls have shrunk, especially the anime industry's, so we only get the ODD controversial series, something that was much much more common in the past

I don't know why that all these copied-and-pasted light novels are the ones getting adapted.

remember, we live in the "overly-safe", "low risk" "appealing to everyone" era, so yea... probably not...
