'Jujutsu Kaisen: Shimetsu Kaiyuu - Zenpen' Reveals Additional Cast, Opening Theme, First Promo

The Jujutsu Kaisen Super Stage at Jump Festa 2026 revealed additional cast, opening theme, new teaser visual (pictured), and a promotional video for the third season on Saturday. The first part of the third season, subtitled Shimetsu Kaiyuu (The Culling Game), adapting Gege Akutami's supernatural action manga will premiere on January 9 at 12:26 a.m. on TBS and MBS' 28 stations.

King Gnu (Ousama Ranking) is returning to perform the opening theme "AIZO," which is previewed in the promotional video below.

The first season aired in 24 episodes in Fall 2020, followed by the 23-episode second season in Summer 2023. Crunchyroll simulcast both seasons worldwide, excluding Asia.

The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 anime movie, adapting Gege's prequel manga opened in theaters in Japan in December 2021. The Jujutsu Kaisen: Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu (Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory/Premature Death) compilation movie premiered on May 30.

Gege drew the manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from March 2018 to September 2024. Shueisha published the 30th and final volume in December 2024.

VIZ Media simulpublished the manga digitally with the Japanese release through its Shounen Jump service and released the 28th volume on November 4. The 29th volume is scheduled to go on sale on February 17. Shueisha's Manga Plus platform also simulpublished the manga in English beginning in January 2019.
