The GA Fes 2026: GA 20th Anniversary event announced on Sunday that Shirow Shiratori's Nourin (No-Rin) light novel will end its nearly 15-year-run with the release of its 14th and final volume on June 14, marking the first new release in the series in ten years. The author has launched a crowdfunding campaign to commemorate the light novel's conclusion.

The campaign on Soreosu, a crowdfunding service by animate, has set two primary milestones. The first goal, set at 2.5 million yen (approximately US$15,900), is to produce a commemorative special edition of the 14th and final volume. This edition will include a paperback completion memorial booklet and a complete-series storage box featuring newly illustrated artwork by the original illustrator Kippu, released as a premium package for the concluding volume.

The second goal, set at 8.5 million yen (approximately US$54,000), aims to reprint volumes 1 through 13. If achieved, the entire back catalog will be brought back into print in physical form, with the reissued volumes featuring minor project-exclusive special specifications.

Shiratori began penning the novel under the GA Bunko label in August 2011, featuring illustrations by Kippu (Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai). The 13th volume shipped in October 2016. Nourin has over 1 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Maru Asakura drew a manga adaptation in Young Gangan from March 2012 to June 2015. Square Enix published the eighth and final volume in September 2015.

Silver Link. adapted the light novel into a 12-episode television anime adaptation in Winter 2014. Funimation licensed the anime series in North America and simulcasted with English subtitles, later releasing it on home video in February 2016. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with subtitles in German and French.
